The Battlefields of the Pequot War staff would like to send out a big thank you to our volunteers from the Yankee Territory Coinshooters, (the YTC), a metal detecting club based out of Connecticut.

Several volunteers from the YTC tirelessly gave countless hours to help with remote-sensing training, metal detection equipment, and some serious legwork at battlefield sites in Mystic, Connecticut during the 2010 summer and fall archaeology field season. Without them, this project would not have been a success.

To the YTC : it was an honor to have your help this past year. Your professionalism, work ethic and upbeat personalities were vital to the results from fieldwork at Mistick Fort and Porter’s Rocks. We could not have done it without you!
