Chronicling recent battlefield archaeology! Pequot Woods yields clues to 1637 English & Native Retreat from the Battle of Mistick Fort: a recent article about current Battlefields of the Pequot War fieldwork from the New London Day.

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center‘s trailer for The Witness. The Witness is a half-hour film that dramatizes the events of The Pequot War, 1636-38, including the Battle of Mistick Fort in 1637.

Local History threatened: Staff & consultants from the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, among other volunteers, came to the aid of the Indian & Colonial Research Center after a devastating flood in the spring of 2010.  The Indian & Colonial Research Center has been essential part of research completed in southeastern Connecticut to document the Battlefields of the Pequot War project, as the ICRC’s collections house records of early 20th century historian Eva L. Butler, who recorded local history and events.
